JENNIFER SHAW | Owner & Head Decorator (North Vancouver, BC)

Jennifer's love of baking grew from having a mother who was a home economics teacher. From a very early age, she loved to be in the kitchen while her mom was baking, especially when she got to lick the spatula at the end. Little did she know, as a young child, that these experiences would lead to something bigger and better several decades down the road.

A lawyer by training, Jennifer took a cake decorating class at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts with her sister, Fiona Ooi. What started out as a way to spend time with her sister doing something that they both loved, developed into a true passion and led to the formation of Picture Perfect Cakes.

The biggest thrill for Jennifer is when she gets an email from a client saying that the cake was a real hit...and that it tasted good to boot.

KELLY OTTO | Cupcake Designer (Squamish, BC)

Two beautiful young children means that Kelly spends a lot of time at home running around after them. There is always a party to go to and special occasions to celebrate. After making her first batch of cupcakes, Kelly was hooked. Not only did she love baking the treats, but her kids loved eating them. To top it all off, she seemed to have a knack for decorating the miniature treasures.

When she's not running around after her kids, Kelly's running our Squamish branch and thinking of cute, fancy, sexy and fun things to do with cupcakes. Every now and then she just bakes some for the fun of it. It also helps that her kids love them and will do almost anything (including being still for 5 minutes) to get one.
